The Challenge
Stapf Financial had been using an IT cloud provider for application hosting and managed IT services for many years. However, the provider’s pricing was extremely high, especially given the business disruptions they encountered on a regular basis. The firm experienced frequent connectivity issues and insufficient disk space on the server caused costly work delays.
As the company pivoted to remote work during the COVID-19 pandemic, these issues proved even more problematic. The team decided it was time to switch cloud IT providers, migrating data from two previous cloud providers to a single, best-in-class virtualization environment for centralized storage and easy data access.
The Solution
Jana Roberts, Operations Manager at Stapf Financial, led the search for a new cloud IT provider. The firm wanted the same services and functionality they had with their current provider, but delivered with greater reliability, higher performance, and more affordable pricing.
In 2021, after evaluating several options, the firm selected Infinitely Virtual (IV) to provide managed IT services and host its critical business applications, including Drake, QuickBooks Desktop, and Parallels RAS, in the cloud.
“Right from the start, working with IV has been a positive experience,” said Roberts. “IV did an excellent job helping us determine which services we needed and what plan was best for us.”
Stapf Financial hires seasonal workers for tax preparation each year— a consideration that factored into the selection process. “I really like how easy it is to get them added into the systems and removed as needed,” stated Roberts. “I also appreciate that our billing reflects those seasonal shifts, so we’re not forced to keep paying for users when they’re not active.”
The Results
Stapf Financial is highly satisfied with the service they have received from IV to date. The migration process, which IV provided free of charge, was remarkably smooth and seamless. Furthermore, the IV support staff delivers fast response times and helpful, professional service to the Stapf team on an ongoing basis.
Overall, IV has helped the firm save money and improve efficiency for bottom-line results. “Since working with IV, we’ve reduced our IT costs and minimized unplanned downtime,” added Roberts. “With fewer business disruptions and responsive IT support, we’re able to provide better service to our business clients.”
According to Roberts, partnering with IV has proven to be a smart business decision. “I think it’s a great service for the right cost.”
