In Ongoing Effort to Make Cloud Hosting Accessible to Small Business, Infinitely Virtual Expands Basic Support Options
Enhanced Support Tier Addresses User and File System Management, Unlimited Data Restoration
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (October 16, 2012) – As part of its continuing effort to make cloud hosting accessible and affordable to small and midsize businesses, Infinitely Virtual, a leading provider of virtual server cloud computing services, has introduced its “Basic + Support” tier of services, adding an array of enhanced support features at a low monthly per-user price of $9.99.
The new Basic + Support tier includes software installation, user management, file system permissions management and unlimited data restores.
These new features expand the company’s popular Basic Support program, which is automatically included with every Infinitely Virtual hosting plan, at no additional cost. Among the basic services: 24×7 phone and web support; complete case management; virtual hardware and operating system maintenance; managed firewall service with unlimited rules changes; limited data restore, and support for servers using vSphere, remote desktop, vnc, ssh, http and Outlook.
“With the market for cloud hosting services both growing and evolving, we’re dedicated to removing barriers between small and midsize business users and this incredibly efficient way to harness IT resources,” said Adam Stern, CEO and founder, Infinitely Virtual. “We’re listening closely to the market and responding accordingly, whether by adding a new level to our basic support service, or implementing truly useful hosting services, such as enabling QuickBooks in the cloud for our virtualization clients.”
For organizations seeking comprehensive system and server support plans, Infinitely Virtual also offers a Premium Support tier at $39.99 a month per user, and a Premium+ Support tier at $84.99 a month per user.
Premium Support includes all the features of Basic Support plus software installation and system customization, such as setting group policies, creating login scripts, configuring file sharing, security and Exchange public folders, and creating distribution lists. Infinitely Virtual also oversees system migration for Premium Support customers, and supports Windows 2000, 2003, 2008, along with Exchange 2003, 2007, and SQL 2005, 2008. Unlimited data restoration is included in the package.
Premium + Support includes all Premium and Basic features plus an additional layer of server and operating system support. “This is our highest level of technical and operational support for those customers who desire more hands-on, continual support down to the individual user level,” said Stern. Included in this tier is “remote hands” support for individual PC operating systems; for local servers (limited to supported operating systems), and for local networking equipment.
Also included in Premium + Support is complete system migration, limited to one local server for each 10 users, and network consulting.
Within the last quarter, Infinitely Virtual has taken a series of steps designed to attract small and midsize businesses to cloud hosting. During the summer, the company unveiled an innovative “onboarding” service, aimed at aimed at eliminating the fear factor from the cloud migration process. The service, which consists of a free, one-hour tutorial on hosting in the cloud, enables new customers to ask virtually any question of a live company representative and get the relationship off on a sound, secure footing. Infinitely Virtual then unbundled its hosted, licensed Microsoft Office suite products, to enable customers to choose those products they need, at a per product price. And placing threat protection under one roof, the company teamed with McAfee to offer its SaaS Total Protection, a comprehensive hosted solution offering endpoint, email, Internet and network protection.
